jilleenbodwin4466: The HPN Signature press is worth every penny!!!
galkanftw: An old buddy of mine owned a sports shop it is incredibly cheap to print shirts and even the sewing was also very cheap.
naturally prices /expenses will vary but that should not matter to the consumer it is YOUR job as the business to ensure the lowest overhead and cheapest prices for the consumer it is not OUR job to do your job.
dannix111: Nice Breakdown. Have been pressing shirts for a few years now, all my gear has come from HPN. Nice thing about a heat press set up is no-low maintenance. What I mean here is if the gear is off for 2 weeks, there's no consequences (other than not making money). Being selective about the jobs you take can significantly boost your profitability. Personally, I don't press any less than 12 shirts on an order, and average over 30 shirts per order. When starting you'll have a tendency to say yes to any order, but, you'll learn over time that those onesies and twosies sales just hurt your business unless you have a dozen of them at a time that you can process together. It's okay to say no to an order that doesn't provide value for your time. The larger proportion of one off single shirt orders do not pan out to large orders, if anything, you are reinforcing your buyers habits and lack of value perception for your time. Leave those orders for someone else to fill. Flipside to that, make sure you are bringing real value at the price points you deem to be your sweet spot so that those minimums are easy to position with your customer. I consistently make $90-$120 profit per hour, but only run the press a day or two a week for a total of 6-8 hours. It's just a side hustle after all :)
Profit786: Common sense isn't that common for some.
