You Will Never Look at T Shirts the Same

rawrss: At this point... We're just waiting for you to open a store so we can just buy from you bro.
Would you ever do a limited drop of some staple pieces? Some black tees? Nice pants? Etc?
MrPablo616: Everybody wants to know one thing after watching this video - where do you get your t shirts?
Remi-c9i6e: I feel like I should have paid for this
EricLS: What I learned from this video: Egyptian cotton is actually a thing, but it's not called Egyptian cotton
derpyideas: Help. I know too much. I am now paralyzed.
tinkersdinkers: dude this is actually so useful as a home sewist, i don't know how i never realized humans aren't seamed at the front/back in equal proportions!!! i'm adjusting my current pattern RIGHT NOW because i was struggling SO hard with this!!! Thank you so much!!!
AtopRainleaf: so what shirt am i supposed to get now
JK13A: Joe and the Shift team, thank you for providing industry knowledge in an easy to understand format. Unfortunately, we are in a consumer environment where clothing brands that we think have a certain quality are allowing that quality to be degraded in the name of margins. Today more than ever you need to spend a not insignificant amount of time understanding garment production to attempt to find quality for price. The time it takes to make these videos cannot be lucrative for your business so it means even more to me that you make them for the average Joe. Please know that there are people out there that appreciate your efforts here and thank you again.
petit0renard: We should have a “how to not get fucked by companies” class in school.
Nurpus: I wish clothing was as transparent about their specs as computer hardware...
ant1finox111: Can someone out there please forward this video to the Costco purchasing director? It’s the only way I can benefit from this information.
theyruinedyoutubeagain: YouTube needs to get their shit together and start pushing this video in their algo. Criminally underrated :(
stevewoodyt: I really do NoT want to watch a 31 minute video of a damn T-shirt but I’m going to. Damnit.
vincelongman3264: Amazing video. We need this on wool, polyester, nylon, other synthetics, denim, etc
donphillips4635: This video is an absolute Masterclass! Can’t imagine the time, effort and attention to detail that went into this. Many thanks to you and the whole team behind the camera for taking the time to educate us!
shahx1010: when i see a 100% cotton garment that says dry clean only i just laugh
JohnFraser-zc8cu: Your editors are truly god tier. I have no clue how this isn't a network television documentary.
BierDaley: 0:43 fiber
5:16 yarn spinning
7:56 knit
10:25 dyeing and shrinking
finishes
drape (fit)
craftsmanship
inspection
AsianTankPilot: Your videos are like the Veritasium of fashion. I learn so much and can’t stop watching.
MIKE_BLM_BDS_ACAB: Thanks, It would be great if labels were required to disclose all of this information for each T
ILike13acon: absolutely amazing video. loved the depth. glad we can judge quality for ourselves now instead of listening to content creators who throw around "high quality" without knowing what theyre talking about!
oliviamoore4043: I've worked in clothing retail for almost 15 years, a single brand, and have always had a deep respect for the clothing production process, no matter how cheap it gets.

I never thought the day would come I'd find a single video that talks about everything I've ever had suspicions about when it comes to tshirts. This is way more coherent than I've ever attempted.

THANK YOU!!!!! The itch had finally been successfully scratched.
gabriel.rene.: After watching this, I now DEMAND brands should provide a spec sheet on every piece of clothing they sell.
biggestdawg800: this dude really out here giving all this knowledge for free salute

also is there a video for good cheap tshirt brands with good fabric for essentials?
bignosewithoakleys: i suddenly have the urge to buy a nice shirt
chrisd3648: Those shoulder seam comments… so informative. I have a vineyard vine tee where the neck always feels like it is choking me, and now I know why. Fascinating.
lmnoplmnop: I think this is why I buy so much Uniqlo for the price to performance ratio - it's too stressful having to check everything when buying expensive stuff
